What is World Cup Super League?




The ICC Cricket World Cup Super League is an ODI league which will be played among the 13 teams i.e. 12 full members of the ICC and the Netherlands, who won the 2015-17 ICC World Cricket league championship to qualify for this competition. This League is a part of 2023 World Cup qualification process and will take place from July 2020 to March 2022.

Each team will play an ODI series of three matches against 8 of the 12 opponents, 4 series at home and 4 away.

Points will be awarded as follows:
Win - 10 points
Tie, No Result, Match Abandoned - 5 points
Loss - 0 points

The top 7 teams and the hosts (India) will qualify automatically for the 2023 World Cup. The remaining 5 teams will play in a qualifying event with 5 associate teams from which the 2 teams will eventually play the final tournament. The ICC 2023 Cricket World Cup will be a round robin tournament and will be played among the 10 teams which will qualify as mentioned above.
